Chatting online is better than talking on the phone

Chatting online is fantastic! You can do it at any time and you don't have to worry about waking up people if it's a bit late at night. Moreover, nobody will be able to "hear" what you "say". This is especially useful when you want to organise a surprise event for a friend or a member of your family. And if you need to tell something to someone and you're travelling on the bus or the underground, noboby will overhear you; your private conversations will remain private. Besides, with the smart phones we use today, chatting online is even easier and really comfortable, as you don't need a computer to do it.
What do you think? Do you prefer chatting online or talking on the phone?

  1. I think that chatting online have good things, but talking to the telephone have a personal treatment an you can speak faster and go to the point, but you have less privacity and you have to pay. When you chat online you can have more privacity and time to think what're you gonna say, but there isn't much personal treatment and it's a bit boring and you can't know if the other person cares about what're you talking about. As far as i know nothing is bad or good, simply are different. The internet have revolucioned the comunication world but, it is too bad to listen a human voice?

  2. I prefer chatting over the phone because you can not think what you mean exactly by chat canvio you think and if you want you can delete it before sending on that side is good, but the bad side also has chat, say Facebook will add a dealer person and not in person and add and says he has your age but it actually has more then you never know who you're talking really.

  3. I prefer to chat, it is easier, you do so ashamed, you can make a surprise party without anyone noticing, if you talk to the person you love is easier if you say something silly for chat is more funny because I can do weird faces and fun, I like to talk more than to chat on the phone.

  6. I agree. I prefer chatting online because it's very easy and fast, with the mobiles phones can talk and carry anywhere, the most important it's free and it's very confortable but talking on the phone you have to pay and the other people can hear what you say.

  7. I think that chatting online it’s better than chatting whit the telephone. First, its more private, because no one hear you, second it’s faster, third you can post a message, ever you want. But chatting online have bad things too, like, when you talk whit someone you don't know who is talking whit, because someone can be passed to another person. I prefer chatting online because it’s faster and more private but sometimes I prefer to chat whit telephone

  8. Chatting is much better than telephone, first because you can leave a message to a person and he will read it when he connects, and with telephone, if he isn't aviable to talk on the phone he won't recieve anything, chatting is faster and easier, but the phone has a point aswell, you can carry it everywhere.

I think with all the new technologies is much easier, you can talk with people while doing other things, and not have to answer at the time, but it is also true that talking on the phone is much more direct and personal, and it is easier to express . It all depends on the person, there are people who do not like technology as much as the basics.

  10. Well... In my opinion, if you talk on the phone it will be much easier if you need to talk fast. I mean, if you need to say "I'm here between x and y" talking to the phone it's better.
But if you don't have money to talk, it's much better to chat online. I only chat for do plans with my friends in the future or next day.

  11. I believe that everything is better at the time. Talking on the phone is best for important things and long talks and chat online is better when you're only talking because you're bored or small talks, but two are good ways to communicate.
